Army and Police Recovers Huge Cache of Explosives

Based on a specific information from Military Intelligence, troops of the Red Horns Division of Gajraj corps and Assam Police launched an operation and recovered huge cache of explosive.
The operation was launched in the general area of Boko in Kamrup District, in the late hours of 19th April. The team received inputs of movement of a large cache of explosives on the Bongaigaon – Guwahati national highway.
The movement was continuously tracked and the suspected vehicle was stopped near Boko. A search of the vehicle revealed 600 gelatin sticks and 400 detonators being carried by two individuals. The individuals have been identified as Elibar Ali and Suleiman Ali.
It is suspected that the explosives were being transported for carrying out subversive activities. This operation is a part of relentless and coordinated operations being undertaken by the Army alongwith Police to negate the nefarious designs of terrorists.
This recovery will further boost the people’s confidence towards establishment of a peaceful state and is a big blow to the terrorists’ disruptive designs.
