Yangte
A Tata Mobile carrying about 30 school children of Govt. Hr. Sec School Palin, Kra Daadi District met with an accident near Yangte at around 3 pm on 17th November 2017.
The tragic accident occurred when the vehicle carrying the school children who were returning to Palin after conducting a special NSS Outreach Camp at Yangte, slided backwards during a steep road climb and capsided against the hill-side drain. No any casualty has been reported and the injured were all rushed to the 50-Bedded Hospital at Jorung .
The dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and support staffs actively swung into action to save the precious lives of school children. The Deputy Commissioner and DMO were also present to take stock of the situation and extend all possible help and solidarity.
All the injured and hospitalized have been administered necessary first-aid and kept under close medical observation. Most of the school children suffered from fractures, chest and head injuries. As per the report of the team of doctors, the condition of most patients were stable and the bit critical ones are kept under close care and medical observation.
The 17 injured were all school girls including the Programme Officer, NSS, Ashok Kr. Pathak.
