Its must be mentioned here that after fighting relentlessly for 7 years, a poor news paper vendor, Sujit Paul was able to get a Criminal Case registered in Silchar P.S. for depriving him of his genuine right, against mighty ADGP of Assam Police, R. Chandranathan.
The poor Sujit Paul has to face all odds in this journey. It is to be mentioned that Sujit Paul was denied ‘OBC’ reservation by Chandranathan, who was the Chairman of the ‘Recruitment Board’. Sujit paul was denied the documents even under R.T.I. It was only last year that he could get appropriate documents and accordingly place them in the Gauhati High Court.
The original master register shows him OBC still how it was changed in the computerized documents is a mystery, which may be solved during investigation of cases. Even his F.I.R. was initially not accepted by Silchar Police however after lot of struggle he could get it registered on the order dated 5.10.16 passed by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Silchar .
Its unfortunate if a genuine candidate has to suffer for 7 years for no fault of him. Many other candidates have also made similar allegations. Similar other allegations have come against Sri Chandranathan and his close assistant Santosh Choudhury for doing large scale anomalies during the recruitment.
