The DC Itanagar Capital Complex inaugurate the 14 units of Solar Home lighting system in Gibahappa Village which was sanction from DC’s Untied fund and executed by the Deptt.

The District Administration, Itanagar Capital Complex made a maiden visit Gibahappa, a little known village under the Capital Complex Administration. The village is located at approximate 10 Km from the capital city and is inhabited by 16 numbers of families.
Mr Prince Dhawan, Deputy Commissioner (Capital Complex) accompanied by Mr Sagar Singh Khalsi, SP(Capital), Mrs Teli Yamang, ASM (Ganga village) and Er. Likha Papu, JE(APEDA) reached the village after conducting foot-march of 6 km from the entrance of Zoological Park, Itanagar.
The Deputy Commissioner inaugurate the 14 units of Solar Home lighting system in Gibahappa Village which was sanction from DC’s Untied fund and executed by the Deptt. Of APEDA. Through the solar home lighting system the villagers has avail the facility of electricity for the first time.
The villagers were elated by the visit of first ever DC and SP of Capital in their village and expressed their hope for more development in future.
Speaking to the crowed gathered, DC express his sadness that a village located 10 Kms from capital is not getting the grid power connection and assure to look into the matter.
The DC also endorsed the request placed by the all Lorr Bath Youth Association (ALBYA) for construction of CC footpath from the Lorr Village to Giba Village and assure to take up the matter on priority.
The DC while interacting with the villagers suggested them the village has lot of potential for developing as adventure tourist spot due to its beautiful landscape and near to capital and asked the villages to focus on the same.
Earlier, the DC along with SP inspect the Lor-putung Primary School where the safety fencing and toilets were constructed for school children.
The safety-fencing and other electrical items such as fan, lighting system were sanctioned from DC’s untied fund 2017-18.
