Itanagar: AAPAW&HU sought CM intervention on various issue related to workers

The All Arunachal Pradesh Angawadi Worker’s & Helper’s Union (AAPAW&HU) has sought the intervention of Chief Minister to address various issues for the welfare of the workers community.
Addressing a press conference here at Arunachal Press Club, Yasi Sonam , State President of AAPAW&HU said that there is no proper utilization of fund and distribution of benefits from the Women & Child Development department.
Yashi appealed to authorities for disbursement of monthly honorarium on time. She claimed that the AWW/AWH employees have not received honorarium since January 2019.
The union also requested to assign rights to AWW to construct their own Anganwadi Center, Innovation & Up-gradation works as per requirements. Union claimed that out of 5250 Anganwadi centres, maximum centres in the state has been totally vanished.
The union also stated that 50% centres are only in paper. However the ministry sanctioned the fund for Construction of facilities like toilet, drinking water facilities, Kitchen and Classroom but , these facilities has not been implemented in proper way.
The AAPAW&HU has also requested that the fund for Early Child Care Education & Pre-School Education kits to be directly transferred to AWW for purchasing quality kits as per the requirement, alleging that product supplied from Women & Child Development department are of low quality and for one time use only.
It also alleged that products being supplied under the Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) are also of low quality and not in condition to be consumed by the beneficiaries. Further, it added that products are not delivered on time.
They have also appealed for cross transfer of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) and supervisor on rotation basis as per the guideline of Govt of Arunachal Pradesh No: PERS-126/2004/4511 to avoid develop vested interest and to provide exposure to the employees of working in different organization.
They have also sought for creation of Gramsevika/Supervisor post.
The union also demanded fund for purchasing uniform for AWW/AWH for self purchasing stating that the uniform supplied to them are of poor quality and only fit for one time use.
They have further sought for providing incentive to the ASHA workers.
