Deputy Commissioner East Kameng on Saturday last distributed solar panel and other kits for hoe lighting to the villagers of Veo under Pizarang circle of the district.
DC Gaurav Singh Rajawat while talking to the villagers said that the kits alongwith other equipment’s like fan and LED bulbs are being given to the beneficiaries under the scheme saubhagya scheme for rural electrification providing free connections to the poor and at very low cost to others.
Around 1000 such connection would be provided to Teh villagers in the district, APEDA Project Officer said.
DC also interacted the villagers on the benefit of the scheme and directed the PO and Gaon Bura to help the villagers in installation of the panels and get the connection properly and make awareness for proper use of the equipment by the beneficiaries for long lasting.
