Arunachal: Training on traditional and folk art and literature

Two days training programme on traditional and folk art and preservation of old manuscript and literature, art and craft and documentation of cultural activities held here at Hotel River View concluded today.
Addressing the concluding function as chief guest Hydro Power Development Corporation (HPDCL) Deputy General Manager Mara Kocho said that it is high time that we need to think for the preservation and protection of our old items which are identical to our existence, we the tribal’s are known for our rich cultural heritage which need to be preserved and carry forward by our younger generation so that it remain as our property otherwise a time will come we may loos our identity.
Several organisation and individuals have been working in this field and shortly we may get some achievement and which would be milestone for the said work.
He also appeal all like minded organisation and NGO to come forward for all social activities for documentation of our literature, manuscript either through print or electronically so that it remain a treasure of our heritage and identity.
Two day programme organised by NGO- NGO-HAMARE Hayang Memorial Agro Industrial and Education Trust while sponsored by BTI Section of Ministry of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi.
The first day was Seminar on Traditional folk lore and music of Arunachal Pradesh sponsored by Seminar & Festival Section of Ministry of Culture while today it was training in traditional in folk art, preservation of culture, tradition, art and craft, manuscript etc while the second day witness Seminar on folk lore and music. Which was sponsored by BTI Section of Ministry of Culture.
More than 50 students of capital complex were given away with certificate of participation while several local social workers were also felicitated on the occasion.
