Arunachal: Felix inaugurates new building of Doimukh PS

Doimukh Police Station today starts its function at newly constructed RCC building which has been inaugurated by Bamang Felix, Minister of Home & Border Affairs.

Constructed way back in 1975, the earlier police station under Papum Pare district was under dilapidated condition. The new building has been constructed under the RWD and executed by private agency.

Addressing the gathering, Felix advised the police personnel to be friendly, not enemy.  He also urged them not to make the police station a centre of collection and corruption. On absence of Fire Service, he promised to get a Fire Station very soon in Doimukh Circle.

Advised people of Doimukh to bring back the old glory of its town, the minister said that Doimukh was an epicenter of modernity once and it was a proud moment than to even mention it. We can bring back that old glory, Felix exhorted.

On memorandum submitted by local MLA, Felix promised to fulfill the genuine demands one by one within 5 years of his term. There are many meaningful points which will be fulfilled on priority basis after holding discussions with district police officers, SP, Dy SP, the minister informed.

Local MLA Tana Hali Tara highlighted many problems of police department and other issue in his assembly constituency to the minister. A memorandum was also submitted on the occasion.

Later, Felix inspected the newly constructed building along with the visiting delegates and police staff.

DIG West U Bitin, SP Papum Pare district Incharge Tumme Amo, Doimukh SDO M Riba, RWD Executive Engineer Techi Jobae, contractor Gyamar Bharat, businessmen Nabam Tulon and Yowa Jyoti among other rank and file of district police and local officers and public were present during the inauguration.
