Emphasizing on the need for Hindi in official work like file noting, letter writing, etc. the UGC officers stated that Hindi is our official language so as a central university we should follow rules as decided by the Government.
VC Prof. Kushwaha called for gearing up for the visit of parliamentary official language inspection committee by staying updated and adopting tools like lila, typing software, etc. in official works.
UGC Joint secretary Dr. Ajay Kumar emphasized on the use of e-governance and e-office. He stated that there is a need to provide skill developing center where Hindi speaking, writing, typing, etc. can be trained. He also advised the Arunachalee people to preserve their local dialect by using devnagri script.
Advisor Ursela Minz highlighted and pointed out some specific goals that the university should achieve as per UGC official language guideline.
RGU’s Hindi Officer Gumpi Nguso, briefly showed a PowerPoint presentation regarding the performance of university and the usage of Hindi language.
The UGC team which is here for 2 days also inspected all the departments of the university on the day.
