Arunachal: young girl murder case, APWWS demanded APSCW intervention

APWWS demanded immediate intervention of APSCW into the murder of a young girl at Hawa Camp in Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh .

Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) today sought intervention of Arunachal Pradesh state commission for Women (APSCW) and constitution of a special investigation team (SIT) in view of unidentified body of a girl at Hawa Camp in Kimin circle today.

In a letter addressed to APSCW Chairperson the APWWS President Dipti Bengia Tadar and Secretary General Kani Nada Maling said that a body of a girl aged around 18 years was found in Hawa Camp area around 200 meter toward village Sele in KImin Circle, the body is completely burned with kerosene and a bullet of -22 rifle was also found. The girl was wearing blue color  kurta and pyjama (salwar kameez) with sandals and well built,

No one have claimed the body as it is beyond identification which is kept at morgue of RK Mission Hospital, Itanagar  Such brutality meted out to the girl child is highly condemnable and very much disturbing trend. The letter said.

While condemning the heinous crime, APWWS have requested the APSCW to intervene and direct the concern authority to constitute a special investigation team to unearth the truth and book the culprit. The letter added.

  1. Murder of a teen age girl is a really serious issue the concern authority should immediately transfer the case to CBI. What ever may be the reason behind murder should be reveal to media, for the betterment of women in future.
