Mountaineering and Adventure Sports Can Pul tourist flow- Dy CM

Four member delegation consisting of two state Everesters Anshu Jamsenpa & Tine Mena, Arunachal Mountaineering & Adventure Sports Association president Tsering Wange and Adventure Cell In-charge Dr Romeo Meetei called on Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein in his office recently.
The Dy CM assured to extend support to the fraternity as growth in mountaineering and adventure sports activities in the state will not only lead to greater tourist flow but also would provide a means of employment to the local youth and lead to the overall development of the far flung regions.
The Dy CM also inquired about the functioning of National Institute of Mountaineering & Adventure Sports (NIMAS) and about the number of trainee intake from the state. He expressed happiness with the achievements of state mountaineers who has not only brought name and fame to the state and the country but also has become a role model for the youths at large.
The delegation members appraised the Dy CM about the huge potential & prospect of mountaineering & adventure sports in the state.
