Thousands participates in “Run for Unity”

Thousands  participated for “run for unity” in state capital for maintaining the national unity and integration among the citizens and youths of state and country.

The run which started  from Chimpu and culminated at IG Park which comprise of security personnel from CRPF, ITBP, IRBN, civil police, BJP Party leaders of state and capital district unit, students of Sange Laden Sports Academy, students from other schools and college and local people of Itanagar.

The run was flagged off by the Secretary Sports and Youth affairs Dani Salu in presence of several officers and youths and local people at Chimpu.

Prizes were distributed by the state BJP President Tapir Gao at IG Park and address the gathering for preserving the national unity and integrity among citizens with communal harmony. He exhorted the youths to work hard for the future development of state and country.

He also appeal the youths to maintain healthy environment and stay fit and fine with sound mind to dedicate for the all  round development of area, state and dedicate their time for good cause.

He also remember the Late Ballab Bhai Patel on his birth anniversary while Late Indira Gandhi on her death anniversary on the occasion and elaborated the role of the two national leaders and their contribution in nation building of the country

Among others Director Sports Tadar Apa, CRPF Commandant 138 Bn Paras Nath, Principal SLSA Tabia Chobin, City Unit BJP President Tarh Soping, Chief Spokesperson Tadar Domnik, Tarh Tarak, Techi Necha among others were present on the occasion.

In girls category Anung Wangsu, Abur Siboh, Yabang Tali received 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively with a prize money of 10,000, 7,000 and 5,000 respectively while in men category Bamo Tanang, Karbu Kena and Nganpho Ngandam received the prizes from the dignitaries. Consolation prizes were also distributed on the occasion.
