NDFB militant Killed in encounter

One NDFB(S) militant who was taking shelter in the Jungle was killed by Police in an encounter, informed Mr L R Vishnoi, IGP, L&O.
According tp Mr Vishnoi, Last night an opration was carried out by a joint team of police and 7 Sikh Light Infantry in Ranipur area under Runikhata Police Station. The operation was conducted on the basis of a source information.
At about 3 am the team had an encounter with a NDFB(S) militant who was taking shelter in the jungle patch adjoining the village. In the exchange of fire the militant was killed. He has been identified as Uday Narzary @ N. Udang @ Khulikhang of Edenbari, Runikhata and the s/s 2i/c of Serfanguri platoon. One AK 56 rifle along with 9 rnds has been recovered from his possession.
