A drowning body of a female found today in Senki river near a hanging bridge nearby Industrial Estate at Chandranagar today morning.
City SP, Sagar Singh Kalsi said that it was the local people of the are who inform the police about a body flowing in the river Senki at around 11.45 this morning. On receipt of the information the police team led by R.K.Jha visited the spot and find that a young girl of aged around 20-23 years suspected to have been drowned.
The preliminary inquest and primafacie evidence show that there were no any injury on the body, The female wearing the grey colour top and black, white and red colour mixed three quarter leggings and was not identified till late evening and we have planned to preserve the body for 72 hours in which we are trying for the identification before it is sent for post mortem and circulating the photograph on the bank of the river and other for getting identification. Later the body was identified as Yapak Siga (adopted) daughter of Tabin Siga of Senki Park area, Siga is Director, SRLM, Itanagar.
When asked about the reason, SP said that it is premature to comment anything however information from sources reveal that it is a drowned case.
Itanagar Police after registering a case of unnatural death vide Ita PS case no- 12 /17 u/s-174 CRPC the Police appeal one and all denizens to have precautionary measured for their children near the river side and maintain vigil toward their children.
