Itanagar- ATCO calls for 12 hours capital bandh on Dec 29

Abo Tani Clan Organisation (ATCO) called 12 hours Itanagar capital bandh on December 29 in support of their charter of demand.
Addressing the press conference here at Arunachal Press club ATCO President Yamra Taya said that inspite of several submission and memorandum and democratic movement and request the state government is not heeding to our genuine demands.
He said that ATCO have been formed for the welfare of the five community ie, Nyishi, Adi, Tagin, Apatani and Galo and we have been here for the wellbeing of the community in state with other community having peace and tranquillity and brotherhood but we have been depriving of our genuine demand specially creation of Department of Abotani Tradition and Culture Affairs (DATCA) which was excepted by the Chief Minister earlier.
Equally sanction for all Tani communities welfare development funds and appointment of 100 teachers for Tani communities, Immediate shifting of NHPC Regional office in state capital area, are the other demands raised by ATCO.
Declaring 12 hour capital bandh on December 29, He said that if the state government do not negotiate for the concrete decision, then they will call 24 hours capital bandh on January 10 and then 36 hours bandh on all districts dominated by Abotani community.
We have never objected to the establishment of DOTCL, DOKA and wanted separate department of DATCA for preservation of tradition, culture, genealogy and others.
Taya said that there are several problems and requirements in all communities but we are not demanding any illegal or other which is not possible by the state government and in many occasion the government have been doing so in the greater interest of the people of state.
The assurance of the Chief Minister Pema Khandu for establishment of DATCA till August 2017 which was put up with 140 post and corpus fund of 20 crore and later after approval of general administration, Administrative Reforms it was put up to the cabinet and later approved as Department of Indigenous faith and culture affairs even we have not opposed, he alleged.
He appeal the people of state capital to support for the cause of Abotani clan members.
