Itanagar: ILP Checking drive, 400 detected without proper ILP
More than 400 persons detected without proper Inner Line Permit ( ILP ) from twin capital city during day long ILP checking drive organised by Administration, Police and ANSU on Monday.

During a day long Inner line permit (ILP) checking drive organized by All Nyishi Students Union (ANSU) to support the capital administration and capital police more than 400 defaulter detected, who were enter the state without proper ILP.
ANSU President Toko Takam while briefing the media at Itanagar police station premises said that this is an initiative in the greater interest of the state. We are not against individuals and as well as indigenous people but it is a established law which is mandatory for all those who are non-indigenous and non-APST.
The state is bounded by Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation Act of 1873 (BEFR) and ILP for all other than Arunachalee is mandatory. The ANSU leader appeal all denizens of the state not to misunderstand the drive.

It have also been observed that due to no proper checking at the check gate these illegal migrants have come to state and some of them commit crime. Some of them do not renew their ILP will continue to stay in state without proper ILP for years together.
Due to ongoing NRC process in nearby Assam several person might have entered the state and the population is growing meteorically, He suspected.
We will continue with the drive from time to time and ensure that rule of law is prevailed in state for a peace and communal harmony.
He further said that we have submitted memorandum to Chief secretary for linking of Adhar Card with ILP.
Capital SP Tumme Amo while briefing the media at Banderdewa said that several illegal migrants enter the capital complex from open area. We have deployed police and security at all area and supporting the administration and assisted by the students organization.
It is mention that the capital district Magistrate Vikram Singh Malik on October 18 has constituted several team with Magistrate for the purpose in Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa respectively.
