Arunachal: AEKDSU takes out protest march in Seppa to press several demands
The rally started from Meena pahaar to Deputy Commissioner Office of East kameng District. Hundreds of members from NESO, AAPSU, RGUSU and local public of Seppa were participated in the rally.

The All East Kameng District Students’ Union (AEKDSU) today took out a protest rally at Seppa township in supports of their various demands. The rally started from Meena pahaar to Deputy Commissioner Office of East kameng District. Hundreds of members from NESO, AAPSU, RGUSU and local public of Seppa were participated in the rally.
Their demands are immediate arrest of Executive Engineer, UD & Housing, Seppa Division and all the engineers involved in construction of the new Government Higher Secondary School building, Bebo Colony.
The EE UD&H has practiced irregularities during the construction and handing over the school building. Cracks have developed, roofs are leaking and basic facilities have not been installed in the newly inaugurated building. The whole building is in dilapidated condition, the union alleged.
The school was inaugurated in a haphazard manner even before its completion. Essential formalities like NOC from Principal and handing taking was not held as informed by the Principal GHSS, the union further alleged.
Eviction and demolition of property built unlawfully inside the school premises. Some individuals have illegally occupied the school land and started construction of their building.
The land demarcated for construction of mini secretariat has also been encroached by some private parties. The encroached land must be taken back and returned to the administration, Union demanded.
“Cancellation of land allotment of New DC Bungalow at Yallopu issued to of various individuals. Public utility places as such should be maintained and stored for the future uses of the district. This place could be a perfect location for tourist attraction. Instead of preserving it, the DA has issued LPCs to several individuals” is also among the union’s demand .
Union also demanded “Demolition of structures constructed in Seppa Cooperative LAMP premises which fall under co-operative society. The town is already facing acute shortage of parking space. Given the cooperative land falling in the market area, it could serve as a public parking space. It could earn revenue and at the same time ease the traffic”.
Just after protest rally the AEKDSU met DC Seppa and submitted their demands , while responding the demands of student regarding under construction of Govt. HSS Seppa, Necessary action will be taken against Executing agency and contractor within 7 days and justification regarding irregularities should be submitted within 7 days.
Regarding eviction and demolition of illegal occupied land in school premises by Some individuals joint survey to be conduct very soon and action will be taken as per demand.
Cancellation of land allotment of New DC Bungalow at Yallopu issued to of various individuals, process of cancelation to be initiated within one week.
Regarding action against town magistrate for leaking documents of AEKDSU in Social Media , Magistrate Enquiry to be setup within one week and will submit report within two weeks.
