While extending festival greeting, Muchu Mithi MLA 43rd Roing Assembly Constituency as a chief guest bring to light about limited population of Mishmi tribe which is approximately 50,000 which has been sparsely situation in Dibang, Lower Dibang Valley, Lohit and Anjaw district.
“Despite the minority we have wealthy and distinctive culture and weaving unlike other tribes of the state. We should forget the difference and due to growing connectivity we could sought out every issue for the promotion and strengthening of our age – old culture”, the Mithi urges.
The Chief Guest also hoisted the festival flag, unveiled Kosha – Bul – 3 audio cassettes being composed and sung by Sokhep Kri Director Gazetteer Itanagar and his spouse Er J Chai. The Mithi also felicitated M Boo and J Chai for composed and sung of Tamla – DU flag song on the occasion.
Special guest Mitali Namshoom IAS DC Lower Dibang Valley expresses Tamla – DU always special for her since school days at VKV Tafragam.
She said presence of this time in the festival has refreshed her old memories. The DC also appeal each one to safeguard the culture for posterity.
Most attractive little kids fashion show, Priest dance performing death ritual, Nimkey Vidhya Niketen modern dance, both traditional and modern dance performed by the youth are the major attraction of the daylong festival. Also best traditional cuisines in the form of community fest, Duet song by Sokhep Kri and J Chai as well as traditional exhibition stall in the premises enthrall the festival reveler to mark the celebration.
Meanwhile, Badanso Tayang Chairman TFCC highlighted the myths of the Tamla – DU.
Besides, DW Thongon SP Lohit, K Karmakar SDO, Nakul Chai former Minister, Nuney Tayang GS APCC (I), Sujan Chai spouse of the Minister, Head of the Dept, Dr K Megu Principal and Associates Professor from IGG College, Foreigner from Germany and people from all walks of life also participated to rejoice the festival.
