Life returned to normal in West Bengal’s Darjeeling after two days of tense situation affected the district. Thousands of tourists who were left stranded in the hill station, left for their places without any trouble. The tourists said there is no violence in the district as all the shops and markets are now open and no untoward incident has been reported so far. After the decision of the West Bengal Government to make Bengali compulsory in all schools, the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha supporters staged a massive protest against the decision. – ANI
