Non Supply of Drinking Water issue raised before the Principal Secretary

The issue of non supply of Drinking water raised before the Principal Secretary Satya Gopal during a interactive programme with DCs SPs, Officers, NGOs and Public held at Banquet hall on Tuesday.
After receiving the the complaint regarding non- supply of drinking water under National Rural Drinking Water Supply Program at Debing village of East Siang district, the Principal Secretary directed the DC, East Siang Tamio Tatak to personally verify and submit reports immediately for further action.
Actually the Principal Secretary (Home) and Incharge, Chief Secretary Satya Gopal held an interactive meeting with DCs, SPs, officers, NGOs and public at the state banquet hall on Tuesday.
While interacting with the participants he informed that the government was concerned about the welfare of the SCs and STs adding that the government was proactively pursuing the matter. Regarding setting up of the State Human Right Commission, Commission for Child Rights, vexed inter- state boundary issue, plight of the population living within the forest areas etc, the Principal Secretary. informed that, actions were being taken up at the appropriate levels.
He also advised some NGOs to be more aware of the benefits of the government welfare schemes and also directed the officers to educate the public, so that deserving beneficiaries were not deprived.
