Mohesh Chai receive Warm Welcome in Tezu

A warm welcome was accorded to the newly inducted AHV & DD and Arts & Culture minister Dr. Mohesh Chai after his arrival to Tezu for the first time since his induction. Hundreds of people gathered to greet him at the circuit house where all the HoDs, branch officers, gaon burahs, PRI members and other public leaders were present to give him a warm welcome. He was presented with bouquets, garlands and mementoes by the administration, various departments, NGOs, party workers and well wishers.
Saying that it was homecoming and not mere visit for the energetic and efficient public leader, SDO (S) Goutam Hazarika hoped that Chai would work for the overall development of Lohit district and Arunachal Pradesh. ZPM Haweli Kri said that the Mishmi society was gifted with a cabinet minister after a long gap and expressed hope that the young minister would work hard for the society. Kri specifically mentioned the deteriorating condition of roads, medical facilities and schools and urged Chai to bring changes in his tenure.
Expressing happiness at the love and affection shown by the public of Lohit district, Chai said that his induction was possible only because of their contributions. He specially expressed gratitude at the confidence shown by the state BJP party president Tapir Gao, National party president Amit Shah, Mos Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, BJP NE in charge Ram Madhav and CM Pema Khandu for giving him a chance to serve the state. He also revealed that he was unanimously selected as a cabinet minister by party stalwarts on the basis of the party’s belief that the educated younger crop politicians must be given chance to work for the development society.
Chai said that the Mishmi society had a sitting cabinet minister from the community after a long spell of 17 years and added it was his duty to keep intact the trust shown by everyone and keep working for his constituency’s development. He said that although he might not be able to physically present due to his duty towards the state as a whole, he will always present to tackle any problem faced by the society.
Further, in a relief for the denizens of Lohit district who face constant light voltage problem, Chai informed that the construction of 132 KV line by Power Grid was in full swing. The Pasighat to Tezu line will be tentatively completed by February 15-20 as told by the MD, he shared. Also the bottleneck from Aalo-Pasighat is expected to be clear in the same time, he added. In good news, Chai shared that plans to instate a functional PHED division at Lohit has been cleared. The department which has been still functioning from Namsai after its bifurcation will have an EE post soon, he added. The welcome party ended with a vote of thanks by the District Veterinary Officer N.Taipodia.
