‘Man Maketh Thyself’- Chancellor RGU at the 3rd UG Orientation Programme at Royal Global University

Royal Global University warmly welcomed it’s 3rd batch of UG students for the academic year 2019 – 20 on the 7th of August 2019 with the beginning of a colorful two week orientation program comprising of an eclectic array of guest speaker series, learning & course introduction sessions with important key notes & guidance from the esteemed Chancellor – A. K Pansari, Pro Chancellor A.K.Modi, Vice Chancellor – Prof. (Dr.) S.P Singh, Chairperson (Academics) – Prof. (Dr.) A.K Buragohain. Students from the Dean’s Listers with outstanding academic excellence were also felicitated. A minute silence was also observed on the sad demise of Smt. Sushma Swaraj, former minister of External Affairs.
A. K Pansari addressing the august gathering stated that ‘Man Maketh Thyself’ and in pursuit of higher education, one must have simplicity in heart and attire complimented by value systems and sound health. He further stated that the future of jobs for candidates will be based on attitude towards work & life then followed by degrees and percentages.He firmly believes that Northeast is a virgin territory, ready to be explored and stressed on students to become entrepreneurs and not job seekers.
Prof. (Dr.) S.P Singh in his address emphasized on creating & becoming a ‘nationalist individual’ with ethical & moral values as a citizen of this country. He stressed on the terms Sanskriti, Sanskar & Samridhi & wished the new students a bright academic future in RGU.
Prof. (Dr.) A. K Buragohain in his heartwarming speech advised the young students to value time & embark upon a path of self realization; to build confidence & realize their purpose & potential. He also stated that RGU was one of the very few universities in the country to provide the students with a liberal education of choosing their own customized course structure. He stressed that ‘It was not chance but choice that shapes ones destiny’.
For the first time in Northeast, Royal Global University also hosted the esteemed members of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to conduct the 14th Meeting of the Inter-University National Cultural Board (IUNCB) scheduled on the 7th of August 2019.
The eminent members of AIU: Prof. M M Salunkhe – Vice Chancellor, Bharati Vidyapeeth & President, (AIU) Association of Indian Universities, Dr. (Mrs.) Pankaj Mittal – Former Vice Chancellor, BPS University – Haryana, former additional secretary, UGC & Secretary General, AIU & the other esteemed dignitaries were felicitated with a silk axomiya phullam gamusa by the Management Committee of RGU followed by a cultural extravaganza of traditional dance performances.
