The Bharatiya Janata Party today said that it is dumbstruck by the ‘pettiness’ of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee in raising the issue of His Excellency The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh visiting a Public Library named after social activist, Late Nana ji Deshmukh and has advised the Congress office bearers to read daily newspapers in entirety to keep themselves updated.
“Nana ji Deshmukh library is a newly established public library, not just for BJP workers, which houses 39000 e-books,” stated a BJP release while adding that the Raj Bhavan had issued a press statement about his visit to the library that was widely publicised across the state’s dailies.
The party added that the after the much publicised visit of the Governor, the library has seen a spike in number of users of the facility.
“We had invited Acharyaji to visit the library because he had worked with noted social activist late Deshmukh ji , said,” State BJP President Tapir Gao.
The BJP also welcomed Arunachal’s Congressmen to come and utilise the library facility and inculcate reading habit while urging them not to ‘find politics into establishment of a public library.’
“Nana ji Deshmukh Library has more than 5000 (print) books, all daily newspapers and we shall keep reference books for school and college students as well,” release stated.
