Arunachal: Itanagar ready to welcome PM Modi

Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal pradesh is ready to welcome PM Modi on February 15. This will be his second visit to the State after becoming the Prime Minister. Modi had last visited the State in February 2015 and attended the Statehood Day function here.

During his one day visit the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the newly-built State Civil Secretariat, State Convention Centre at Indira Gandhi Park and the Academic Block of Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences at Naharlagun. Besides that, he also lay the foundation stone of the Film and Television Institute in the state capital.

During the visit, Modi will also address a public meeting at IG Park here.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu while calling on Governor Brig Dr BD Mishra (Retd) at Raj Bhavan here today briefed him about the ensuing visit of the Prime Minister.

PM Modi will also launch DD Arun Prabha, a new satellite television channel of Doordarshan dedicated for the north-eastern region during his day-long visit to Arunachal Pradesh on February 15.
