Itanagar: 24th Vishwakarma football running trophy-2018 begins

The 24th Vishwakarma football running trophy-2018 kicked off amid a huge gathering at KV-2 School Play ground here at Chimpu.
Addressing the inaugural function of the tournament Chairman, Biological park & Gyekar sinyi protection and development society and social worker Taro Tagia said that any games and sport give us a message to remain fit and fine with maintaining of communal harmony, brotherhood and sportsmanship.
The players should first concentrate and devote themselves for a good and discipline player like pele, Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi and other who have brought their country name and fame in the world in football games.
Bharatya janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State Gen. Secretary Beli Gadi speaking as Guest of Honour said that sportsmanship sprit with coordination among the players is the main mantra of winning any game and sport. Briefing about the state government priority toward promotion of games and sports in state he informed that a good player can avail the opportunity of the reservation and other benefit provided for meritorious players by state government.
Organising Chairman K K Kanjal, Vice Chairman Takhe Abe, General Secretary Lokam Bagang, AGS Tai Thomas among other also address the gathering.
The tourney organised by the Lion Club of Chimpu and a total of 24 teams/ club from various parts of capital Complex and Papum Pare district are taking part. The tournament shall continue and the final match will be played on October 28 next.
The inaugural match was played between last year’s defending champion K.K FC and Chimpu FC which ended 2-2 draw.
Tagin Rai & Kunal kena scored two goals for K.K FC and Sangha Tallo and Karling Fafa scored for Chimpu FC.
NESA President Biri Chatum, Chimpu Youth Association President Gyamar Changia, several youth leader of BJYM and local youth leaders of the area among large numbers football lover witness the inaugural match and function among several cultural programme were organised by the committee.
