Sergeant Commander Dr. Marak Pertin also informed the students about the career in Indian Navy. Exhorting the young minds he said that ‘Nothing is impossible, keep yourself mentally tough and have a dream to become a better person in the society, adding to it he said ‘to serve the motherland and to live life of respect and honour you should join Armed Forces’. Dr. Pertin also called upon them to refrain from addiction to drugs and tobacco and requested the teachers to give proper guide to students and said it is equally important on the part of students to give respect to their teachers in all aspects.
First Lady Army Officer from Arunachal Major Ponung Doming, said ‘ today I am standing before you all, it is all because of support provided by my parents and teachers and like that you all should respect your parents and teachers, their blessings are equally important to achieve bigger in life plus your determination and hard work’. She also gave detail presentation on career options in Indian Army and competitive exams.
Later on in the interactive session, the officers answered the queries put forward by the students and the teachers.
Earlier, ADC (Hq) Tabang Bodung welcomed the officers and advised the students to take full benefit of advises given during the programme. DDSE S.T. Zara, gave vote of thanks and expressed deep gratitude to the officers for motivating the students to have better career in life. Students from Don Bosco School, Nonpu, Govt Higher Secondary School, Doimukh, Govt Secondary School, RGU and Mani, NIT Yupia, RGU, Bom Kakir Mission School Midpu attended the programme.
