Arunachal: NPP leaders condemn attack on MLA Tirong Aboh and others, demand immediate action

NPP leaders condemned the killing of NPP MLA Tirong Aboh and 10 others in a suspected terrorist attack on Tuesday in Tirap.

Citing killing of NPP MLA, Tirong Aboh and others, and Ex-ZPM Selem Wangsa earlier last April, former Home minister, Kumar Waii has alleged that killing of both the politicians was a politically motivated. He further said that it is need to enquire that terrorist has been if used by political rival.

Wangsa was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Nginu Longchan village, some 30 kms away from the district headquarters on 30 April.

He appealed government to expedite the investigation as soon as possible. ‘’NPP demands speedy enquiry in to case, find out which insurgency is responsible and take action against them’’’, said Waii.

He also conveyed condolence to Aboh’s family.

‘’It is a sad moment for all of us, all the NPP members offer prayers for the family members and departed souls’’, said Kyoda Apik while strongly condemning the killing of eleven people including NPP candidate Tirong Aboh. He appealed the state and Central government to deploy sufficient forces in the district and also to arrest the insurgents involved in the heinous killing.

State NPP President Gicho Kabak condoling the demise of the Late Tirong Aboh in a terrorist attack in Tirap district said that is a barbaric attack. There are several UG elements operating in the area and condemn the incident. He demanded immediate action to the perpetrators and flash out all those responsible for killing of eleven people in the attack which took place near the cemetery of Late Ajay Rajkumar at 12 Mile in Tirap district.

NPP Secretary General Nima Sange Saling while said that Late Aboh went to attend a meeting of NPP which was held at Guwahati  on May 14. Today he was going to his assembly constituency and home town Khonsa to attend the counting which have been slated on May 23. He also demanded immediate action from the central and state government to flash out all those responsible for killing of Late Aboh and others.
