Various cases of marital conflicts, forced marriage and victims of domestic violence – both physical and mental, are reported every in Arunachal Pradesh. The victim of such cases taken shelter in Short stay home run by Oju Welfare Association ( OWA ) in Naharlagun.
OWA provides them support, guidance and rehabilitation to regain confidence in them to meet the situation and to acquire skills to become self-reliant and to develop relationships with people that could help in the re-establishment of their status in society.
Association also running a weaving centre , where experts providing vocational training to victims for weaving traditional dresses. The traditional dresses having modern look with traditional identity is the quality of the dresses weaved here .
