Tawang Celebrates Statehood Day

Statehood Day was celebrated in a befitting manner in the entire Tawang district. At Tawang Headquarter Sang Phuntsok, Deputy Commissioner Tawang unfurled the flag at Parade Ground in the presence of Chairperson Zilla Parishad, HoDs, GBs, PRI leaders and public of Tawang.
Speaking on the occasion, he called upon the people to maintain peace and tranquillity in the region and be equal partners in development front. He exhorted the Govt. Officers/officials to be the servants of public in true sense and serve with utmost sincerity and dedication. Further he asked everyone to adopt digital mode while making day to day transactions and to ensure opening of bank accounts. Highlight of the day was mesmerising performance from Cultural team comprising of members from Gyanghar and Snowlion troupe that had won them the Best Tableau during Republic Day Celebration at New Delhi this year. Statehood Day Volleyball Tournament also came to an end with Medical Team and Humanity group winning in the male and female category respectively.
