The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday announced the names of its candidates for 54 seats in Arunachal Pradesh for the Assembly polls to be held along with the Lok Sabha elections on April 11.

In a statement, the BJP declared its candidates for 54 seats in the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh Assembly.

Among the more prominent names is that of Pema Khandu, the current chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, who will be contesting the assembly elections from the Mukto assembly constituency.

The BJP came to power in Arunachal Pradesh after a majority of Congress legislators joined the saffron party in 2016.
