Tawang: Awareness and School Safety Programme of DDMA & NDRF Concludes

The District disaster Management Authority ( DDMA ) of Tawang in collaboration with 12th Bn NDRF Doimukh has conducted series of Disaster management programme on Awareness and school safety from 16th of November to 26th of November 2019, The Awareness and school safety programmes concluded today at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya(KGBV), Kangteng.
During these ten days long programme , Three Higher Secondary Schools, four Secondary schools and four Upper Primary Schools of the district were covered.
Around 2000 students from all these schools were given awareness and training on various techniques and methods of Search and rescue operations, Medical first aid, and Fire safety measures.
Earlier the same NDRF team has participated in the XIth Maitree Diwas celebration 2019 at Tawang, wherein they have installed an exhibition stall to showcase NDRF search and rescue equipments in collaboration with DDMA Tawang, informed DDMO Tawang Tsangpa Tashi.a
