A team of police comprise of SI Giogi Tape and APP Jawans led by SDPO Itanagar Kamdam Sikom under the supervision of SP Capital Sagar Singh Khalse seized 29 cubes, 4 boxes, 4 gambling mats and some other gambling items from 4 locations i.e Near KFC, Niti vihar, Ganga and Chandranagar.
Police informed that a complaint received from some reliable sources about the illegal gambling activities are being practiced in some parts of capital complex and violating the order of District Magistrate.
Meanwhile, it is pertinent to inform all the citizen of Arunachal Pradesh that any kind of Gambling in the form of housie, cards, dice etc are banned in the state under Arunachal Pradesh Gambling (Prohibition) Act 2012.
If anybody found violating this order they shall be booked under various provisions of law and action may be taken against them, the order stated.
