HIM International School celebrates 73rd Independence day with Pomp and Festivities

The celebration also saw young children’s from grade 1 onwards showcasing their talents through skits, dances, and speeches. All the programmes emphasises the message of unity in diversity. The day also coincided with Rakhi Day, a day of universal brotherhood.

HIM International School celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with pomp and festivities. The flag hoisting ceremony took place at 9:00 AM followed by school parade. Dr Maneesh Mangal, the Principal of the School delivered the Independence Day Message.

He said, “Freedom in 1947 meant freeing ourselves from the British who enslaved us, but freedom now would mean becoming self-reliant, making our country free of corruption, bring in equality of justice and all which can be achieved only through the young one of our country – the students.” He said that their success is the success of our nation, our people.

The celebration also saw young children’s from grade 1 onwards showcasing their talents through skits, dances, and speeches. All the programmes emphasises the message of unity in diversity. The day also coincided with Rakhi Day, a day of universal brotherhood.

The message of universal brotherhood was incorporated with Independence Day ideals. It was also an occasion for the distribution of prizes and certificates for the State TT champions Ms Maitry Rahi, Haril Rahi, Lisha Loyi and Diming Phassang, Winners of Rakhi Making Competition, Winners of Debate Competition and the winners of creative school projects.

The programme was attended by Vice Principal Mr Viju Kallara Jose, Coordinator Ms Pooja Sing and the parents of State TT Champions Mr Sunil Rahi, Mrs Deepika Rahi, Mr and Mrs Mindo Loyi, Mr and Mrs Tame Phassang, teachers and student community. After the programme Independence Day sweets were distributed to all present.
