Education minister visits GHS School Chongkham

State Education Minister Hunchun Ngandam termed Govt Higher School Chongkham as already established model school that he dreams-off in the State. The concept of introducing model school in the state to give new direction to the education system in the state was always his dream and is in pipeline, said Ngandam. He stated this during his visit to Govt Higher School Chongkham at Namsai district here today. He was accompanied by Secretary Education Bidol Tayeng, the Director Elementary Education Tapi Gao, the Project Director SSA Opak Gao and many other dignitaries.
He added that during his long tenure he had visited many school but has never seen any school with white boards but Chongkham School has it. This school has really stood out amongst other school of the state and I congratulate the school principal, teachers and the managements for this. I am very happy and surprised to find this school functioning as already established model school of his dreams in state, Ngandam said.
The state government under the visionary leadership of young chief minister Pema Khandu was to implement his vision of introducing model school in every district but this concept has been fulfilled by this school and seems is already established model school of the state and I appreciate it, he further stated.
Joining with Education minister in applauding the school staffs, the Education Secretary Bidol Tayeng in his brief speech, praised the cleanliness of the school premises, management of the classrooms, dedication of the teachers, discipline of the students and the art of motivation by the principal.
Earlier, immediately after the warm reception the Minister and the dignitaries inspected the classrooms, auditorium, Science Labs and also took stock of the school premises. Although, classes remained off due to ongoing Examinations, the Minister entered in most of the classroom and tested the white boards by writing on it.
Taking advantage of the visit of Education Minister, the Principal G. Megu submitted a five point memorandum demanding immediate posting of Maths PGT and two TGTs, extension of five classrooms, Science Labs, extension of auditorium and posting of two Science Lab Assistants.
Others who spoke included PGT Economic Abhai Singh.
The Education Minister joined by Parliamentary Secretary Planning Chow Zingnu Namchoom and accompanied by other dignitaries also visited all the Government Higher Secondary Schools of Namsai districts. He interacted with Principal of all the schools to take stock of the functioning of school.
