Cyclonic Storm “Fani” is likely to hit Arunachal Pradesh Tomorrow

The intensity of the storm is, however, likely to be reduced and the entire states of North East region shall face its effect in the form of strong wind.

As per the Weather Warning Report received from Regional Metrological Centre, Guwahati, the Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm “Fani” is likely to hit most of the district of Arunachal Pradesh on 4th and 5th May 2019.

The intensity of the storm is, however, likely to be reduced and the entire states of North East region shall face its effect in the form of strong wind reaching 30-40 kmph. Widespread rainfall activity is expected in the western and central part of the state.

All the districts likely to be affected have been alerted and directions have been issued to take all precautionary and preventive measures. Further, a team of NDRF have been pre-positioned at Balukpung for immediate action, if need be.
