BSF Seizes 665 Bottles Phensedyl and 70 Kg Ganja in Cooch Behar

Troops of Border Security Force ( BSF ) under Guwahati Frontier deployed in Cooch Behar apprehended one Indian national, seized 665 bottles of Phensedyl and 70 Kgs ganja yesterday near the International Boundary in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal.
Apprehended person was identified as Sahdut Sekh, (15 yrs), S/O Faizlul Seikh R/O Village Kalamati, PS-Dinhata, Dist- Cooch Behar (WB). He was apprehended by the troops of BOP Kalamati alongwith 1200 BD taka near the IB. He has been handed over to local police for further legal action.
Besides above, on specific input provided by Border Security Force intelligence team of Cooch Behar Sector, West Bengal, a joint team of BSF and local Police seized 70 Kgs Ganja alongwith 665 btls of Phensidyl from Sishurpara village under PS Dinhata Distt- Cooch Behar (WB). The Ganja and Phensedyl bottles have been handed over to Customs for further disposal.
BSF troops are always alert to issue of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all out efforts to prevent commission of illegal crimes.
