Acting on a tip-off, the Doimukh police apprehended a woman drug peddler and seized 36 kg Ganja from her possession.

In a major break through against the use of drug the Doimukh Police today arrested a drug peddler with 36 kgs of Ganja.
After getting an information Doimukh police led by officer-in-charge Inspector Padi Payang along with ASI Niri Rama and police team under the close supervision of SP Papum Pare Dist Tumme Amo conducted raid in various suspected places of Doimukh and seized around 36 kgs of ganja.
Doimukh PS OC Padi Payang when contacted said that the police have been doing its job with dedication even with limited strength and conduction all other activities which include ILP checking drive, night patrolling and other normal duty.
In this connection a case vide Dmk PS case No.31/18 u/s 20 NDPS Act.1985 registered and accused Yana Lama have been arrested.
We are also involving human intelligence to stop the drug peddling in the area and investigation is on.
