Tumke Bagra Minister Industries, Skill Development, Textile & Handicraft, Trade & Commerce, alongwith Director Textile and Handicraft Haj Dodung Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh visited Oju Welfare Association.
They visited all the functionaries run by Oju Welfare Association and took stock of the activities being rendered specially the Handloom & Handicrafts center.
Minister while addressing the gathering present further remembered his association with founder chairperson Lt. Binny Yanga in 1988 when a school was being initially set up at Naharlagun.
He was indeed very impressed with the gamut of activities Oju have been implementing. Oju has become one of the role model organization in the state asserted in his speech.
He also assured to extend all possible support to further strengthen the institution and enhance its outreach and in take capacity in various training center especially in Handloom & Handicrafts.
Earlier Chairperson Oju welfare Association (OWA), Mrs Ratan Anya accorded warm welcome and briefed to the Minister and appraised him on the several schemes run by OWA viz. Women Helpline-181, Children Home, lone Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA) of the state, Swadhar Greh lone short stay home for women in distress, Legal Aid Clinic, Vocational Training units.
