Arunachal: Newly elected Arunachal legislators sworn-in
The new legislators were sworn-in by the Pro-tem Speaker Phosum Khimhun.

The newly elected members of Arunachal Legislative Assembly took the oath of affirmation in the first session of the Seventh Legislative Assembly which began here on Monday.
The new legislators were sworn-in by the Pro-tem Speaker Phosum Khimhun.
The Pro-tem Speaker called for swearing-in of the newly elected MLAs and the ceremony started with Chief Minister Pema Khandu taking the oath followed by Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, then the Cabinet Ministers and legislators.
Al together 57 newly elected MLAs took the oath of affirmation. Four members took the oath in Hindi and the others in English.
Nabam Tuki , former Chief Minister and Congress leader, who retained the Sagalee seat, was not present during the ceremony due to ill health.

Former MP from Arunachal East and Congress leader, Ninong Ering took the oath in Hindi. He won from Pasighat West Assembly seat. Minister Education Taba Tedir and Agriculture Minister Tage Taki and Pangin MLA Ojing Tasing also take oath of affirmation in Hindi.
Earlier, as soon as the House assembled, the Pro-tem Speaker welcomed all the MLAs and termed them the ‘lucky ones’ for being elected, adding, 20 members are new faces in the Seventh Legislative Assembly.
He hoped that the elected members would reciprocate the huge turnout of voters in this election by maintaining and upholding the democratic values of the country.
