The tournament was organised by the union to remember and give due tribute to its former leaders who were instrumental in the student movement of the union in the area which include former Cabinet Minister T C Teli, former Deputy Minister Ngurang Tazap, former leader Tem Tatung, Techi Tangum and Techi Kako. The tournament shall continue in loving memory of these leaders of the area in future.
Dignitaries spoke on the importance of social service for the humanity, sough support for community and area development, maintenance of communal harmony and brother hood while appeal all to shoulder responsibility for the self sustainability and community development, peace and prosperity of the people and the area.
Special guest Teli Taning (Kelvin) while distributed the prizes and expressed and suggest the public’s of both Assam and Arunachal to maintain peace, love and brother hood, He also donated two pairs of players gallery.
The final match was played between Papum Pare united FC and Allu pura of Assam which was defeated by a margin of 4-0
The winner team of PPU FC and runners up team AP football team went away with the cash prize and Summer Cup-2018 trophy and seal and medals.
