Though arrangement were made for the vendors of the township vendors but not to the vendors of those who are on Highway between Itanagar-Naharlagun and urge the administration for such arrangement at the earliest.
When contacted Capital Deputy Commissioner office EAC (Land Management) Liken Koyu informed that an Order have been issued on March 22 and a committee have been constituted with three officials of the Land Management staffs of the DC Capital office who have been directed to carry spot verification at 6 Kilo along NH-415 and identify location in liaison with Surveyor from TK Engineering Consortium Pvt Ltd for notification of vending zone in the area.
He also inform that the committee will submit a report alongwith sketch map of the proposed area that can be notified for the vending zone within a week.
Meanwhile it is to inform that the Arunachal Pradesh legislative Assembly passed the Arunachal Pradesh street vendors (protection of livelihood and regulation of street vending) (Repeal) Bill-2018 on the last day of the 15th session of the sixth legislative assembly which shall pave the way to carry forward the works of the street vending by the state government.
