Arunachal: Traffic awareness campaign in Tawang

In continuation of its efforts to regulate traffic congestion and traffic rule violators in Tawang township, District Administration Tawang and District Police Tawang today gave awareness on traffic regulation to the general public in Masang Dung Rhuemey and drawn Zebra crossing areas in old market.
NCC Cadets , both Boys and Girls were engaged in traffic management and educating public on traffic rules and safe driving.
Town Magistrate Tawang township Choiki Dondup, EAC and Dr. Thuptan Jambey Dy. SP Tawang gave awareness on traffic rules, dos and dont’s while driving to the Taxi drivers of Tawang. Both the officers also requested the Taxi drivers to be very polite, honest and disciplined in their profession.
Taxi drivers play a very important role in making good or bad impression of any tourist destination, so be the good ambassadors of tourism and contribute in making our state more tourist friendly added Chioki Dondup.
This awareness camp to the drivers and general public through NCC cadets and police personnel will be given for few weeks more, this would also encourage moral policing, and after that those found violating the rules will be strictly penalized and strict legal actions will be initiated to the defaulters informed Town Magistrate.
