Arunachal: Extortion racket busted in Changlang
With the arrest of both the accused who faked themselves as members of outfit organisation, the Jairampur PS C/No. 9/19 U/S 384/506 IPC has been worked out.

The Changlang police have busted an extortion racket and arrested two persons, who posed as members of an underground outfit and extorted money from businessmen.
Acting on intelligence inputs, a police team on Friday raided the residence of an accused and apprehended him. He has been identified as old Abu alias Wabong Shankey (21), a resident of Jairampur.
After Shankey’s interrogation, his accomplice, Mandang Hacheng (23), a resident of Jairampur circle, was also nabbed.
In further interrogation, both the arrested accused admitted to have committed illegal activities of extortions in the name of NSCN outfit and created terror in the mind of people and business community of Jairampur area.
