The Wakro police on 25th morning arrested, 3 (three) hooligan namely Anuj Deka (26) , Nitin karmakar (18) and Vishal Sonar (18), in attempting rape and murder of a local woman residing in a rented house here nearby the Hospital.
According to the police sources, the incident occurred in the morning. After receiving the complaint from her relatives, the police immediately swung into action and arrested the culprit after massive search operation. The victim was referred to Dibrugarh in Assam for treatment.

They were booked under section 17/19, 341/354/354(B)/376/511/307/34 IPC respectively.
The culprits were habituate of drugs addiction. Vishal one of the perpetrators has been involved in several theft cases in the area. A detail inquiry has been made to authenticate the situation. Cross interrogation is also underway to find out the actual facts, the OC adds.
