Arunachal: Parakaram Parv observed in Tawang

As part of the nationwide program to commemorate the matchless valour displayed by the Indian Army on 29 September 2016, the sensitive border  town of Tawang celebrated “Parakram Parv”on 29 September 2018.

The event is aimed at creating an awareness amongst the local populace about the courage, valour and sacrifice of the Indian Army as well as enhance civil-Military bonhomie.

Arunachal: Parakaram Parv observed in Tawang

Tawang Brigade organised the awareness programme which comprises back to back screening of a short film on the Special Operations conducted by the Indian Army, Military Band Display and also  display of Weapons and Equipment for the local residents of Tawang in the vicinity of the imposing Tawang War Memorial.

The event was inaugurated by Maj Gen Rakesh Kumar Jha, General Officer Commanding,  Ball of Fire Division in presence of the Local MLA Mr Tashi Tshering, DC & SP of Tawang District along with other government officials.

The excitement, ebullience and pride fro the Indian Army amongst the local population was evident during the day long programme which attracted over 1000 people including School, College students and local population.
