Itanagar: UAIPF stages dharna and protest against CAB
It is a symbolic protest today and soon it would turned into a public protest and appeal all to support the movement, said Lafee Paffa.

United Arunachal Indigenous Peoples Forum (UAIPF) today staged dharna and protest against the move of BJP led central government to bring the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB)-2016 in the coming session of the parliament.
Addressing the media UAIPF President Laffe Paffa said that the CAB is against the interest of indigenous people of the region. We will not allow situation like Tripura in our state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah should know the negative impact which may change the demography of state and the region.
He appeal all likeminded people and leaders from all Community based organisations, student organizations and all those who wanted for safety, security and protection of indigenous people of the region to support the democratic movement against the Citizenship Amendment Bill-2016 (CAB).

Various indigenous organisation of the region has united under the banner of ‘ North East Forum for Indigenous People (NEPIF)’ who began the democratic movement by way of protest in all NE states from today. We oppose any move of the central government to bring back the Bill in Parliament for discussion and further approval. He said.
