Results of APJEE-2016 are being evaluated in a transparent way- Pul

Chief Minister Kalikho Pul along with the Minister of Education Wanglin Lowangdong.visited the office of Director, Higher & Technical Education, Itanagar today to ensure that the results of Arunachal Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination 2016 are being evaluated in a transparent way. The APJEE 2016 for various courses like MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. & AH,  Sc (Agri/Horti/Nursing/Forestry/Home Science/Fisheries), BSc(Nursing), B Pharma, Boot/MLT/BRIT and GNM was conducted today.

The 7 members Evaluation Committee headed by Bidol Tayeng, Secretary(Education) informed that evaluation of Answer Sheet is being done through an Optimal Mark Reader (OMR) Scanner Machine. OMR Scanner Machine detects the option opted by candidates and stored in a database designed in the backend. The readings are being verified by the key answer sheet using a program designed for calculation of marks. It takes only 30 seconds to calculate the data and is completely full proof.

Chief Minister lauded the department for adopting such a full proof technology for evaluation of the answer sheets.

Dr Tejum Padu, Director of Higher & Technical Education informed that the department has been using OMR Scanner machine for evaluation of marksheets since the year 2002 and is the first to use this machine in the state. Even the renown institute like North East Regional Institute of Science & Technology and Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has adopted the same technology after learning it from the H & TE Department which is the most full proof and the fastest method of evaluating the mark sheets.

He also informed that the result of APJEE 2016 which was held today will be declared within 24 hours and will be uploaded in the departmental website instantly.

This year the H & TE Department of Arunachal Pradesh has made record of declaring the results of DIPLOMA (APJEE) 2016 within 4 hours of examination, which was the fastest all over India. The examination was held on May 28 last.

K D Singh, Advisor to Chief Minster, Directors of Secondary and Elementary Education along with high officials of the education department were present on the occasion.
