Lekhi- ISBT would be inaugurate within this month

The much awaited Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Lekhi, Naharlagun will be formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Pema Khandu, within this month.
The ISBT at Lekhi, built over the area of 86460 square is expected to be the largest in the whole of North East region. With a meagre cost of Rs. 2039 Lakh, the Department of Urban Development & Housing has put forth an essential project.
It will have separate stand for the local and inter District/State buses. All the basic amenities like food court, restaurants, tourist lodges etc., would put the weary travellers at ease and satisfied. The ISBT will also have the facility of advance booking system, spot booking system for all Government as well as private buses, Sumos etc.
The traffic congestions prevailing in the twin capital will be reduced upto great extent, once the ISBT starts functioning.
Minister (UD, TP, LM etc) Nabam Rebia, Parliamentary Secretary (UD, PWD etc) Techi Kaso along with officials of Urban Development led by Deputy Director Tayar Tache Urban Programme Officer Hillang Taju, Asstiant Urban Programe Officer Yumlam Aam made a spot visit to the site and expressed satisfaction and appreciated the officers.
