This photograph of a foot over bridge in the Itanagar capital complex is raising a question ” where is swachhata Abhiyan…..?” The denizens of capital complex specially the pedestrian also asking from district administration and IMC authorities …. who is responsible for the maintenance of the bridge ..?
Not only this, the locals also allege that “several foot over bridge have become the place for antisocial elements during night hours which are a threat to the common people who prefer these foot over bridge to cross the roads in the busy hours either in evening or at night”.
They allege that a heap of garbage in the foot over bridges clearly says that cleanliness is only for name sake and the administration or the IMC authorities are hardly bothered to clean it up, rather preferring to organise clan drive event, taking photographs and posting in social media”.
There are around eight foot over bridges in capital complex from Chimpu to Nirjuli which was earlier constructed by Urban development department several years back and the capital administration and the IMC are responsible to maintain them for the convenience of the public, as locals said.
