Cooperation Secretary Onit Paniang while inaugurating the week long celebration of 65th All India cooperative week from November 14 to 20 at the conference hall of Arunachal Pradesh Cooperative Union here at Polo Colony today stressed the need of strengthening of the cooperative union and its movement in state.
Paniang said that there are more than 900 registered cooperative union but all are not working properly and some of them are like defunded and if it is continue there would be revision of all those Cooperative Union.
The audit of several unions have also been not done properly and said that government have taken a decision to take up audit matter of unions which are not properly doing their works.
Few unions are also not organising their governing body meeting timely and properly they are being asked to carry forward their works properly. He suggested the corporators to visit the successful LAMP at Jairmampur, Tawang, Bomdila, Rupa and Ziro and learn from them.
He announced that M/S Nampong Manmao LAMPS of Jairampur have been selected as the winner of ‘Dorjee Khandu memorial best cooperative society 2018’ and Bomdila LAMPS Ltd Chairman Dorjee Tsering as ‘Dorjee Khandu memorial best corperator ’ which to be conferred by the APEX bank during the statehood day celebration-2019.
Guest of honour Director of Skill Development and Empowerment Subu Tabin delivered his speech on the basic fundamental of the strengthening of the union and cooperative movement to get skill training and by which the members will be empowered which is the need of the hour. He assured his full support for providing of training in various trade to the required members of the cooperative union and federation for self reliant and skilful service delivery to the masses.
Arunachal Pradesh Cooperative Union Chairman Sushil Nalo suggested various means and way to support cooperative union and urge upon all cooperative union and federation to use self motivation and help others in self sustainability and become part of state development.
Registrar of Cooperative Society (RCS) Tai kaye, Jt. RCS RD Thungon, Cooperative Apex Bank MD, DRCS (Aud) Goto Nyorak, members and Board of director of consumers federation and members of cooperative union from different parts of state take part in the day long function with several different programmes for awareness and welfare of the members and community and state as well.
During the technical session today the Rajiv Gandhi University HoD (Commerce) Dr. (Prof) Vinod Yadav who spoke on the inclusive growth and good governance through cooperative for rural prosperity. Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Karsingsa, Agronomy specialist Tadang Mena spoke on ‘cooperative key for organic farming and zero budget farming’.
